GRANDMA FRANCES RECIPES - CRAB PATTIES

INGREDIENTS:

1 pt Milk (heated but not boiling)

4- 5 Saltine or oyster crackers (crumbled)

2 med-size onions (sauteed in butter until light brown)

2 hard boiled eggs (chopped)

1 tblsp Worchester sauce

mustard (enough to cover the tip of a knife -- love this measurement)

1/4 tsp paprika

1 lb crabmeat (picked apart into shredded pieces)


Bread crumbs

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

veg oil or fat for frying


Mix the first 7 ingredients, then add the crabmeat

Mix everything together and let it get cold

Divide into equal balls and flatten slightly

Roll in bread crumbs

Mix together the eggs and milk in a small bowl

After dipping the crab cakes in bread crumbs, dip in the

egg/milk mixture and then dip again in bread crumbs

Fry in deep fat until golden brown
